The 13 Galactic Tones

If the 20 solar glyphs describe who you are, the 13 Galactic Tones describe how you carry that identity into the world. Each tone is a frequency of action, an existential question, a modality for expressing energy.

Together, the 13 tones form a complete sequence of creation — from first intention through transcendent integration.

The Logic of the 13 Tones

The number 13 is not arbitrary. In the Mayan system, 13 represents movement — the quantum leap between states. The 13 tones follow a precise progression corresponding to the natural stages of every creative process.

Each tone carries three fundamental attributes:

  • An action — what the tone does
  • A power — what it activates
  • An essence — what it reveals at its core

The 13 Tones in Detail

Tone 1 — Magnetic

Number: 1 Name: Magnetic Question: What is my purpose? Action: Unify Power: Attract Essence: Tone 1 is the origin of all creation. It is the moment of pure intention, before anything has yet manifested. Like a magnet that attracts effortlessly, this tone carries the capacity to align all resources around a clearly stated purpose. Day 1 of any wavespell is always an invitation to set intention.

Tone 2 — Lunar

Number: 2 Name: Lunar Question: What are my challenges? Action: Polarize Power: Stabilize Essence: Tone 2 makes polarities visible. Where the 1 was pure and undifferentiated, the 2 reveals tensions, challenges, necessary oppositions. It is the principle of duality — the moon reflecting the sun, yin facing yang. This tone does not seek to resolve tensions but to recognize them as conditions for growth.

Tone 3 — Electric

Number: 3 Name: Electric Question: How do I activate my service? Action: Activate Power: Bond Essence: Tone 3 is the first spark of active manifestation. The electricity that connects the poles created by the 2 and generates energy. This tone activates service — not as obligation, but as the natural expression of one's gift. It asks: how does my presence activate something greater?

Tone 4 — Self-Existing

Number: 4 Name: Self-Existing Question: What is my form? Action: Define Power: Measure Essence: Tone 4 gives form to what until now existed only as intention. The four directions, the four elements, the four faces of a pyramid — the stability of the square. This tone asks for clear definition: what exactly is this? What form does this energy take in concrete reality?

Tone 5 — Overtone

Number: 5 Name: Overtone Question: How do I empower myself? Action: Command Power: Radiance Essence: Tone 5 is the first peak of the wave — the illumination of what has taken form. It represents autonomy, the capacity to radiate from one's own center. This tone commands not through external authority but through inner clarity. It illuminates the way forward.

Tone 6 — Rhythmic

Number: 6 Name: Rhythmic Question: How do I organize my service? Action: Organize Power: Equality Essence: Tone 6 is the organic rhythm that readjusts. After the illumination peak of the 5, the 6 returns to body, practice, and organization. It is the heartbeat, the breath, the natural rhythm that enables sustainability. This tone asks the fundamental question of durability: is what I am doing organized in a way that holds over time?

Tone 7 — Resonant (Mystic Column)

Number: 7 Name: Resonant Question: How do I align my service? Action: Channel Power: Inspire Essence: Tone 7 is the exact center of the 13-cycle — called the Mystic Column. It is the perfect balance point between the past and future of the wave. The 7 resonates like a guitar string plucked at its central node — all harmonics amplify. This is the tone of the channel, the medium, the direct inspiration. Here, ego steps aside and the divine speaks.

Tone 8 — Galactic

Number: 8 Name: Galactic Question: Do I live what I believe? Action: Harmonize Power: Model Essence: Tone 8 is the descent toward concrete manifestation, enriched by the mystical passage of the 7. It poses a question of radical integrity: do I actually live what I preach? This is the tone of coherence — alignment between inner values and outer actions. It models integrity in action.

Tone 9 — Solar

Number: 9 Name: Solar Question: How do I attain my purpose? Action: Pulse Power: Realize Essence: Tone 9 is the solar momentum toward fulfillment. Nine is the number of completeness in many traditions — the last digit before the return to unity. This tone pulses energy toward its full realization. It is no longer about intentions or forms — here one acts, accomplishes, concretizes.

Tone 10 — Planetary

Number: 10 Name: Planetary Question: How do I perfect what I do? Action: Produce Power: Manifest Essence: Tone 10 is manifestation at the planetary level — when the personal becomes collective. This tone produces, concretizes, anchors in shared reality. It carries the energy of perfection not as neurotic perfectionism, but as alignment with the highest possible form. Manifestation here is a contribution to the whole.

Tone 11 — Spectral

Number: 11 Name: Spectral Question: How do I release and let go? Action: Dissolve Power: Liberate Essence: Tone 11 is one of the most powerful in the cycle. After the full manifestation of the 10, comes the necessary dissolution. This spectral tone disintegrates what no longer serves so that pure essence can continue. It may seem destructive but it is liberating — like an eclipse that reveals the stars behind the sun. Letting go here is active, chosen, liberating.

Tone 12 — Crystal

Number: 12 Name: Crystal Question: How do I dedicate myself to all of life? Action: Cooperate Power: Dedicate Essence: Tone 12 is the crystalline sound of cooperation. After the dissolution of the 11, what remains crystallizes into something new. This tone is intrinsically collaborative — one cannot crystallize alone, it requires the presence and support of others. It represents commitment to community, dedication to service of life.

Tone 13 — Cosmic

Number: 13 Name: Cosmic Question: How do I endure? Action: Transcend Power: Presence Essence: Tone 13 is transcendence — the moment where the 13-cycle completes and energy transposes to a higher plane. This is not an end but a translation. The cosmic presence of this tone is effortless, total, radiant. Endurance here is not resistance but absolute fluidity — being so aligned with the current that no effort is felt at all.

The Complete Journey: From Intention to Transcendence

The 13-tone wave can be read as a journey in three acts:

Act 1 — Intention (Tones 1-4): Energy organizes itself. From magnetic purpose to the definition of form, the first four tones lay the foundations.

Act 2 — Refinement (Tones 5-9): Illumination, rhythm, mystical channeling, integrity, and accomplishment. The wave reaches its apex at Tone 7 before descending toward manifestation.

Act 3 — Liberation (Tones 10-13): Production, dissolution, crystallization, and transcendence. What the wave created is now offered, released, and transposed.

Tone 7: The Mystic Column

Tone 7 deserves special attention. Located exactly at the center of the 13-cycle, it acts as a window between worlds. Days of Tone 7 in a cycle are traditionally considered days of amplified perception, access to subtle dimensions, and heightened synchronicities.

In the Tzolkin matrix, the 20 days of Tone 7 form the Mystic Column — a spine running through the entire calendar. These 20 days each carry a different glyph and all vibrate at the same frequency of pure channeling.

How the Tone Modifies Glyph Energy

The tone acts as a modifier of glyph energy. The same glyph expressed through different tones creates radically different experiences.

For example, the Blue Eagle (Men, vision) expressed through different tones:

  • Tone 1: unified vision, a purpose that attracts
  • Tone 7: vision channeled directly, mystical inspiration
  • Tone 11: dissolution of partial vision, liberation from limited perspective
  • Tone 13: transcended vision, effortless cosmic presence

Pulse Patterns

The tones also group according to patterns:

Odd tones (1,3,5,7,9,11,13): Expansion energy, masculine, Yang — they push outward Even tones (2,4,6,8,10,12): Receptive energy, feminine, Yin — they anchor and receive

This alternation creates a natural breathing rhythm in the wave, comparable to inhalation and exhalation.

Shinkofa Connection

At Shinkofa, your natal galactic tone reveals your natural way of acting in the world — your fundamental creative cadence. A Tone 1 will naturally seek to align and attract. A Tone 7 will often be the channel between different realities. A Tone 11 will instinctively dissolve structures that no longer serve.

Combined with your solar glyph, the tone specifies not only who you are (the glyph) but how you are designed to act (the tone). This is the difference between a static identity and a living mission.

Shinkofa integrates this energetic profile into its recommendations to align your action cycles with your deepest nature.
